(h) The border, or Shum Chun, shooting incident again figure in the Canton Press. A 'Cheung Tim-cheung Tragedy" memorandum is to be forwarded to the Hong Kong Government in a few days, reports the "Canton News" on 26/3. The "National Times" of 29/3 reports that a tomb is to be erected on the spot.

(a) The "Wah Kiu Yat Po" of 24/3 complains that the United States is tending to withdraw help from China, and give help to Japan.

(b) The "Hwa Shiang Pao" of 25/3 reports that the United States Government is trying to organise German industry to keep Germany tied to the United States, and as a counter measure to Russian activities.
